Gisborne is a valley in the northeastern corner of New Zealand’s North Island. Gisborne is a town located in the valley of the same name on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island. Gisborne is also called Eastland because it’s located literally just to the east of quite a few other places. To clarify, Gisborne isn’t an island—it’s a place that can be found on one.
